Did you know that your nutrition visits may be covered by insurance?

Many insurance companies consider nutrition education to be a preventive service and either cover your visit in full or only require a copay.

At this time, New Leaf Nutrition accepts the following insurances:
Blue Cross Blue Shield
United Healthcare
Medicare
Aetna
Cigna
Tufts
Harvard Pilgrim
Neighborhood Health Plan of RI

We encourage you to check with your insurance carrier to determine if nutrition counseling is a covered service.

To check your benefits with your insurance provider call the member services phone number listed on the back of your insurance card. It’s important to ask the following questions:

• Is there a co-pay?
• Is a referral required?
• How many visits are covered and over what time frame?
•  Is there a deductible?
• My diagnosis is _________, will that be covered?

If you have specific questions, please feel free to call my office or send an email.
