This Spiced Roasted Salmon is an interesting twist on the basic fish dish. Spicy and warmed by the addition of cinnamon, the flavor is unique and exotic.


  • 1 salmon piece, 3 lbs
  • 1 T ground cumin
  • 1 T ground coriander
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 1 t kosher salt
  • 1 t ground cinnamon
  • 1 t cayenne pepper
  • 1 t ground black pepper
  • Garnish: 1 lemon cut into 12 wedges; fresh cilantro and parsley


  1. Preheat oven to 400′ F. Place salmon skin-down on cookie sheet lined with foil
  2. Combine rub ingredients in small bowl and spread on fresh side of salmon
  3. Roast the salmon for 18-20 minutes or until cooked through, firm to the touch
  4. Turn oven to broil, and broil an additional 3-5 minutes, until slightly golden
  5. Place on platter and top with cilantro sprigs and lemon wedges
